I just purchased a new 2019 hrs 155. I only have 2 break in hours so far. The speedometer does not appear to be working properly as it rarely registers above 9 miles per hour even though per my sport watch, I am cruising along at 20 mph. Also, I cannot get any other functions (clock, compass, etc) to display. For one brief moment, everything displayed but then disappeared. Do these items run off gps, or is it a mechanical problem? I will be taking it into the dealer, but I thought I read somewhere that the clock, compass, and speedometer were dependent on a gps signal.

I have the same issue. No idea what's causing it. I checked the wheel, and it appears to be spinning freely. Mine is a 2003 GTX LTD...

Page 57 of your owners manual:
Clock is shown only if the integrated GPS receives a signal from the satellites.
Compass will be visible only when the PWC is moving.

I don't see it specifically stated, but I know for sure Speedo is definitely GPS controlled.

Oh yea, maybe on the newer models. But my 03 has a little paddle wheel, and it does exactly what OP is describing. I'd be cruising at like 35mph and it'd show 10.

Guess the gps is not receiving properly as my sport watch has no problems out on the open water.
