Well I ordered my new upholstery from Seadooupholstery.com, I talked to Keith this morning, I am happy. I ordered the new reverse cable, I want to order the complete hydro turf for my boat.

Do you guys think Im spending too much money on a 1995 Sea Doo Sportster?

Im total nuts, dont want to tell my girlfriend about it, lol..

I just ordered the complete Hydro Turf for my boat, and I ordered it teal color.

So now I have to:

1. Go through the carburators
2. Install my new upholstery
3. Install my complete hydro turf

I kinda hate that my hydro turf doesnt have the 3 cuts on the back like the 96 sportster, it only comes with 1 cut of hydro turf, it looks as if they could have made the three, must be a reason why they didnt?

I have new pictures with the no fear removed with the seadoo "dot"..

Im not sure what Transom Hooks your talking about, but it has hooks on the bottom (im not sure if you can see it in the picture), the gentleman i bought the boat from hooked it up as per the picture. :)

Mine is a 1996 Challenger and has the transom hooks and hooks built into the trailer for the short straps to connect to.

I think they do the 3 big sections on the 96 and up, is because you can stand on the deck lid. On the 95, and earlier... I think the side panels are a little softer.

Like the seadoo decal.

Thanks I do too! :)

Ok, so there is no way of getting around it! cool, I wont stand on the softer sides either!

parrothd I was looking at your pictures! nice boat, love your boat cover where did you get it and how much? I love how you reupholstered your entire boat, beautiful.

1. Where did you get your cover.. lol
2. How do you have your boat so nice on the outside without any knicks or scratches?

http://www.poppycompany.com/ they make great covers, the material isn't as thick as the OEM seadoo ones, but very nice for the price.

It still had nicks and scratches, I spent a few hours with rubbing compound, then polish and then wax... :)

Fedex delivered and I got my new upholstery today from seadooupholstery.com!, now its time to take out the seats and put in the new seat upholstery, and fix my reverse shift cable, and my carbs. I am still waiting for my hydroturf to come in, they said this weekend! So I should be having a "new boat" in 2 weeks.

Hopefully it would run as good as its gonna look, if not, back to the drawing board, its hard for me to throw in the towel, I have to expect something else is going to break, but I got to be honest with you guys, I have a lot more respect for my boat, and the water.

Thanks parrothd for the seadoo cover information, as soon as I can afford it, ill get it! :)

Let us know how much work it was to get the upholstery installed . I am considering it but want to have some input on how the install is before I proceed.

I got covers from Keith last year and did my 98 Sportster, the fit was tight, but as promised, the fabric stretched - thrilled with the result of my DIY job, more thrilled with the price. The seats take a little twisting and turning to get out - if you haven't bought the service manual for your boat yet, do yourself a favor and get it - you shouldn't have to pay more than about $10 for it (if that). When I did mine, I bought an air-ratchet from Northern Tool (or Harbor Freight)... it was my best friend - some of those bolts are hard to get to, and the air-wrench made the difference. Good Luck!
