WTB 97 XP Yellow Engine Hood

My engine hood on my 97 XP is cracked where the hinge connects. If I can find a replacement yellow hood I rather replace it then try to repair it. The part # is 269700042. I live in Eastern Pennsylvania 18977. I you have one let me know what you want for it including shipping. Email me.

Email this guy. He is in Houston and was parting out a 97 XP a couple weeks back. He is honest, and I got the carbs from him.

I have one! I went and inspected it and I see what you are talking about as mine also has small hair line cracks around one of the places by the hinge also. It is not broken yet but I can see that in time it will also fail. You may want to get photos of that place where the hinge mounts as you will find many more with that problem. Thanks.... I got some Emails already but the prices were more than I wanted to spend. I will try to fix the hood by putting a steal plate on the inside of the hood where the hinge mounts. I believe the lift cyl. is way to strong when the hood is in the closed position cause stress on the hinge area. I have since removed the lift cyl.
