well i would have got my carbs today but the mail lady decided to come earlier than usual and i missed her..i thought she would have left it on my step..(they usually do) oh well i guess i'll get them on monday...
how do you know? did she leave the little slip in your mailbox or something??
happy b-day by the way...:cheers::cheers:
i dont think you can use it...i would wait for someone else to respond...see what they say..like if it was a little thicker, you could use the longer screws i gave you? not sure man..so, u can use the plastic piece, the filter(s) but your pump body was damaged right? was it leaking?
if your talking in front of the motor, where the mag housing is, thats the grounding posts for the spark plugs...or are you talking about to the left of the gas tank if you were sitting on the ski? thats the MPEM box..take some pics...are you buying it or no? and did you get yours running yet? how bout that tornado last night?
not too sure..ocod and others know ALOT more bout carbs...i just clean them and rebuild them...i'd wait a lil bit for a response on that one
yea they had a tornado touch down just 20 minutes away from here. but we're all good no damage..
and for the 96 it the one thats next to the gas tank.. there's a bunch of wire in there but they're not connected.. and there's one connecter in there that is plastic and has 3 prongs in it. but its not connected to anything. maybe the piece that it goes to is what it needs...everything else looks fine..and the spark plug coil is located in the rear of the seadoo and is in a black box....that one i think is fine...
and i dont know if i'm gonna buy it because he's saying something like 400 for that one....
and i'm working on mine as we speak...here's a question..
the inlet nipple on the carb lets me blow in but not suck it back.......this is good right???
ok the return nipple on the carb lets me blow in and suck it out.......this is bad right????will this cause it not to run????
i sent him both...so, hopefully he can figure something out...
oscar, i'll get up with you tomorrow to work out the trailer deal.
I think the extra nipple is to supply fuel to other carb #53
http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com/seadooforums/Seadoo_oem/Seadoo_PWC.asp?Type=13&A=34&B=21
I have fuel line going into this nipple and block the other one.
Would work otherwise??
Yes, either block that one or the other inlet on other side.
If you don't get fuel to carb then switch inlets...
Did you try swapping inlets?
Those check valves should not be cause of problems i think??
You wont get a rush of fuel when you disconnect hose from inlet.
Try putting another hose on each inlet and blow throw ea one to make sure path clear.
The in and other inlet will blow fuel out.
well miami, i was thinkin, if you cant get this thing to go, you probably ARE better off just buying like a GOOD USED GUARANTEED carb off ebay or something for probably less than $100...you gotta realize sometimes that the time and effort and energy you're expending on this thing is not worth just getting another one...let us know whats going on..and post some pickies
Oscar and Miamiboy..give each other your address and get together to solve this thing like 96 said.....172 posts
Or just buy a new one or two.
I'm not sure anymore what the problem is
I just look at the carb spec for the 587. In the later years the engine went to the larger 147.50 that may help.
Get one of old main jets 125 and use dremel and 1/8" drill bit to make it bigger. If it works better than order larger jet.
I don't think check valves are the problem but I'm no expert.
He never reported if he has compression. Nothing will work if piston has a hole in it or compression not optimum.........
