Wiring troubleshooting help!!!

I am trying to figure out why my 2nd GTX is not doing a thing when I plug the lanyard in. I am assuming the electrical system (MPEM?) may be bad but how would I test it to see if it is. I bought a volt meter but have never been to good with electrical stuff so I am having trouble figuring it out. I cannot even get a beep with the lanyard. I would really appreciate any help.

start by checking your grounds and wire connections you might have a bad connection which is causing it not to beep, next open you mpem and see if theres anything out of the normal like water inside or stuff that isn't supposted to be there. next make sure its the right lanyard for the ski. To test i'd recemmend getiing a shop manual and start going back over everything.
