griz - I'll be in Bradenton (TPA airport) over Thanksgiving and maybe moving there in a yr or so. I'll be south of you so I can "winterize" by putting it in by 11am and out by 6pm........LOL
My ski has been out for 3 weeks now, the boat out for 1. (Michigan area)

Griz.........I'm in to skiing all year too. Leaveing now for parts unknown! (probly go to the spring in the Gulf)

yes i must say, i just wait for the rain to stop, as opposed to waiting for the cold and snow to stop....
which brings up a question, if you could by a ski from anywhere in the U.S. of A., would you prefer buying a ski from up north, where they get less use, but a chance of not being "properly winterized" and get the abuse of the cold weather, or a ski from down here which doesn't get the harsh winters, but potentially gets used year round? any thoughts?

Probably from up north, but MUST test ride it first.
Unless I buy one from some one like Dr Honda, Lou/Jake, etc who keeps their machines in immaculate shape.
Not from some one who jumps 10 foot waves every day.....LOL

1959, was there a seadoo, if so it was balck and white -- lol
yep, ole griz is a 52 year old seadooer

wow sdb,we all figured u were some punk kid like me n mattydipps lol..got us all beat?older than 52,huh,?

I don't want to get all emotional on you guys (haha) but I never really thought about anyone's age on here I guess just by how everyone gets along and their terminology and similar humor I've never put age as an issue lol the wealth of knowledge on here whether it's from an older member or a younger member is second to none and I guess since we're all on a seadoo forum that's most of what matters lol

That's right Matty...we are members of the same forum....help one...help all.

But I'm not as old as Harryb.....(he mentioned his age on a post)

Glad I'm not OLD like you guys!!!!! (hanging head and walking off mumbling about being so dang old....)

That means you are in almost last yr of teens....18 or 19

Young whippersnapper....

Going back to school?

BTW, since you are probably quite knowledgeable in the IT world....can you fix my 8-track player in my VW van?

Yea 18, I'm a freshmen in college (Business administration). 8 track player as in a disk CD player? lol

I hope there still business left after you finish your studies. I can't beleive how hard it is to get a career going now a days. :banghead:I feel for you youngsters! :patriot:

80k at a supermarket........ I see why they went bankrupt ;)

yea, well, seems far fetched (the 80k) but honestly, i wouldnt doubt it...i lived where he lives my whole life...put it this way..where he lives, the 4 bedroom 2 and a 1/2 bath, 2.5 car garage(they build the .5 part for a jetski or motorcycle etc.) 2 story house that i had built here (on the mainland in FL) was $206,000.......BRAND NEW...I did a COMP CHECK before i bought down here, and the same EXACT house, as far as size, acreage, rooms and square footage, thats 20-30 yrs old was between $850,000-$925,000 depending on which district you're in...PLUS the taxes here were roughly $2,500-$3,000 per year, and for the house up there, it was between $12,000-$15,000....

So, like i said, you guys have no clue how messed up it is there, PLUS you get FREEZING COLD winters..

Ok guys, i guess comment on this one if you want, but after that, maybe we should get back to winterizing... I feel like we highjacked Lou's thread....
Sorry Lou... (Thats why Lou made, "Ask Jake & Lou:The Raw & Relentless")

Well it did help that my fathers best friend was the president of the company but you'd be suprised top salary for a store manager is 130 without bonus, full bonus is another 20-35k if the yearly goal is met and yea spx is right thats what drove a&p to the ground after I left all managers had to take a 14% pay cut and no bonus

but yea I feel bad lol I'll be winterizing mine tomorrow

 yea, i winterized mine about 3 hours ago...had to have it out by 6:30..(sun started going down)....

Hey Lou, can we post the random girls pics of their hoo-has and coo-cahs that send them to our phones on "Ask Jake & Lou"? just curious..w1.jpg

Lou, i only ask bc i remember in one thread in your "Ask Jake & Lou" forum you guys were talkin bout the "proper" classifications of, watermelons, melons, jugs, cantelopes, ant hills with mosquito bites, etc...
