Why Tempo Fuel Hose SUX !!!!!!!

if you look at the end of the hose, you'll notice its actually 2 hoses, one inside another. In between those two layers is glue. The ethanol in our fuel breaks this glue down and the green slime/sludge is what it becomes.
Ethanol also has a strong affinity for water! That is why you had better treat your fuel (if you leave it in the tanks for winter) with a quality fuel treatment! After a season or two, that is why we get water in our tanks (in addition to normal condensation)

Yes. It's only a matter of time. Why wait until they clog your fuel system and carbs and risk engine failure due to running lean? Like Nike, just do it ;)

If you replace them now you might get lucky and not have to rebuild the carbs. When I did my 96GTI I only had to clean the carb. filters.
