I am new to owning PWC machines but so far they are a blast. I have a 97 GTX and a 99 GTX limited, both run great. I'm wondering what spark plug I should be running. The Manual says BR8ES but the dealer recommended the BR9ES, but the previous owner had BR7ES in the 99. Now I'm confused and not sure what to use. Most of the lakes we ride here in Utah are around 5,000 feet high. Thanks for the help.

The stock plug is a NGK BR8ES, if you have trouble with the plugs fouling I would move to a slightly hotter plug, which would be the BR7ES.

I use the NGK BR8ES in all my skis. I just buy them by the box.

LouDoo,
You just taught me something. I always thought the Higher # meant hotter plug. I googled it and you are right. Lower # is hotter. Guess that is why I am not a mechanic and better not quit my Day Job.

No biggie, I'm not a mechanic either, just a little something I picked up here on the forum. I'm actually an IT guy, but not a geek.
