What pumps are interchangable??

I really need to know what other seadoo model pumps are identical and will fit my 99 gsx limited 951. My pump is pretty much done so i m looking around on craiglist for a part out and so far i found 98 xp and few other models. would the xp models or gtx pumps fit? and work correctly?

For the pump... there is a 140mm pump and a 155mm pump. They are basically interchangeable for each size. There are some small differences thought the years... but they can be made to work.

The differences are things like... materials used to make the pump, tail cone size, nozzles, reverse gates, trim systems, bailing hose fittings.

All these things can be addressed by using some of your old parts, but they core of the pump will work.

If you need a COMPLETE, EXACT pump... find one from your model/year ski.

if the "XP" has a grey hood and black under "hull", then that pump will work. You need a pump from a 951 motor.

thanks ya ll. That makes since. Right now my pump is at the shop but they called with bad news saying the shaft has welded itself to the impeller. Right now i rather buy a part out peice and enjoy the rest of the summer.

Okay i just got a 97 or 98 xp limited pump.It was also a 951.
The pump looks almost the same but i will not fit. The holes dont line up, They almost line up but its off about a few millimeters. I cant get it in, i even tried to drill a bigger hole but its guna do more damage than good.. This sucks

you got a 140mm pump. 951 pump will have a "huge" cone.
