what is diff btwn '97 SPX 5834 and 5661?

I purchased a '97 SPX in really nice shape (garage kept and low hours) and think it has a 717 engine (marked on magneto cover) and when I go to get parts, I'm asked which model and have yet to find an identifyer to tell me. The given options are 5834 or 5661...Any help?

If your ski still has the coast guard exemption sticker on the back of it, the model number may be on the lower right hand corner of that decal. I’m not positive what years exactly they marked it there, but at least some of them had it.

A 1997 SPX is a 787 not a 720. The 5834 numbers really aren’t used for identification around here.

Post some pictures of it please.

Also the last 2 digits in the hull number are the year.
