I have a 1994 seadoo xp and Im wondering what grade of fuel I should put in it. It has not been ran in a few years but Im scared if I put 93 it will foul off the plugs. Is there any performance help by putting 93 vs 87? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

93 is overkill for such a low compression motor that runs cool anyway. 87 will probably be fine, but I usually do mid grade. (should not hurt it no matter what you choose, just 93 is a waste of money.)

i noticed when i was running it just a little in the water it was running strong but i pulled the plugs out and they were starting to foul out. I am running a tank of the 93 so i think ill take it out and fill it up with 87. I couldn't find anything in any manual for it about what grade of gas to use. Thanks for the advice

I usually use 91, if I'm at the lake for more than a day I'll use 93 because the gas at the marina is 87. The manual says 87 but the manual was printed you could still get pure gas.

advice :) not advise...

anyway... i guess you could suck it out and throw the gas in your car, or just top off with 87 maybe, that would probably dilute it down to the 91 range.

I'm with Lou... Up here anyways you can't get ethanol free gas unless you get 91. What bs is that when we can run on 87, but ethanol is such an engine/parts killer.

I run 91 or 92 in all my toys since it is ethanol free. We do not have ethanol free 87 or 89 here. I hate that ethanol crap so I buy the more expensive fuel that does not have it.

i believe they are obligated to post that its 10% or not (or that it could be up to 10%)...

almost ALL of my gas stations are 10% and labeled as such, but it just says that its up to 10%, for all I know sometimes i'm buying non ethanol cuz that's what they had in stock when the truck showed up that day

I run 87 but then again I have a station close by that has ethanol free gas. I suppose you could probably use 87 and add some Stabil Ethanol treatment. However, after you do that you may wind up spending just about the same on the tank of gas as if you would have put in 93.

I've always ran 93 in my 787s and 951s. We don't have 91 here, just 87 89 93 and 110 race gas (used to run it in my crf450 and it loved it). I may try to run 89 this year since it is cheaper.
