i was riding my ski the other day and was riding normal i have never had cavitation before, any way i was riding prity quick on a chopy lake and it was getting air born a bit and then all of a sudden the motor started to rev real hard but i was only going like 2-3 mph i managed to get it to the bank stoped it then tryed to take off again and was still doing the same thing, so i got off it and turned it off and felt inside the intake grate but couldnt feel anything so i got back on again and started it to try limp it back to the car and when i ddid it was fine again pulled along normal i ended up riding it for the rest of the day with no problems, does anyone know what would cause this? As next time i might be miles away when it does it

Probably sucked a rock or stick or some other debris in. Then it cleared itself out. Usually though, you feel some awful vibration.

yeah there was bad vibration at first i thought something real bad had happened, it was prity deep where i was riding but i did notice a fair few tree's floating around that day so mabie it was a stick, thanks for the help

Its easy to suck up sticks and other debris floating on top. Depth doesnt really matter.
