I am looking to please confirm that my water lines are routed correctly... From one of the winterizing discussions I understand that the line with the arrow pointing IN to the head is the one closest to the exhaust pipe on each motor. It is also the one that has the T in the line and runs to the flush port on each side of the hull under the hood.

Is this the corrdct orientation for the lines (or are they backward)?

Many thanks!

Hows the other motor, plummed?, or did you replace the tubing and forgot? You can doublecheck with the "parts" tab, and look up yr/mdl of boat, and look under cooling system.

plumbed the same

The reason for my post is that BOTH motors were plumbed the same but I **THINK** the lines were reversed all year long.... Is this even possible or would it have COOKED my motors?

The lines WERE hooked up opposite from this on both engines. When I went to winterize, the instructions inticated that the line closest to the exhaust would be the one that the flush port ran to. On MY motors, the flush ports were plumed to the side FURTHEST from the exhaust ( and with the arrow pointing OUT).

Thanks!!

The arrow is the direction of water flow...if you added your seadoo model and year in your avatar it would be easier to give you better advise, based on exactly what you own. If the lines were reverse it wouldn't be cooled properly and over heat.

The hose to the flush fittings goes to the outlet nipple and the single hose from the pump goes to the inlet nipple (closest to the pipe).
I'm not sure about the 717 engine but on the 787, we used to reverse the cooling as you have pictured for a few extra HP when racing.
