I am having a tough time getting my hands on one of these. Either wont ship to Canada or no dess key. Frustration!

If you have the broken one I might be able to fix them for you. Common problem with a surge protection diode blowing on these MPEM's when they are jump started. Does the 5 amp fuse blow? I have fixed a couple of these. I have access to an x-ray machine so I can locate the diode. I remove the potting material, replace the diode and re-pot the opening to keep mositure out

Engineering. We use the x-ray to perform inspections in areas that can not be see.

The above thread is my entire problem. No fuses blown. But the first post is my issue. Thx for looking, and if you think you have a shot at it, keep me in mind, thx.

Your problem does not sound like a typical blown MPEM problem. Or at least not a blown surge protection diode problem. When they go they short out the power going thru the 5 Amp fuse. It does sound like your beeper is kinda working and the 4 beeps/ticks is probably an error code of some sort. Might try researching what 4 beeps means on your machine

Maybe a problem with you key. Get your hands on a owners manual and look in the troubleshooting section to find what 4 beeps indicates
