Hi, and welcome to the SeaDoo forum, I'm not sure what you mean by a "VDrive Seadoo".

Lou

Welcome aboard,,,
I am familiar with the term V-drive but not relative to Seadoo's

wow 255 hp so what kind of speed do you get out of that.what other goody,s r on it.
u made comment about the term vdrive.a vdrive is a prop.u have a short driveshaft that goes from ur bell housing on the engine to a 2 speed gearbox then a long propshaft connects from the gearbox and the opisate end has a two blade propellor or whats called a speed prop.
as for pwc.nomatter what u do to the engine it will only go so fast because of the jet pump.now take urs and convert to a prop and that thing will jump straight out of the water from a dead stop and gain a ton of speed.but i dont know if anybody has tried converting there pwc to a prop .but i plan on trying on mine.

pwc all have jet pumps for propultion vdrive just means propellor driven which is what i plan on doing to mine.
thanks for the greeting.

I had THOUGHT you were saying you had a Vdive Seadoo, that is why we were asking about the term.

The 255 has fantastic response and speed as well. I have had to 73 MPH and have added no goodies to it (Don't really need them,,,).

However, I bought and want to install the following: impeller, 3 degree wedge, steering extention (needed due to adding the wedge).

Welcome to the best seadoo site on the planet!

Im sure most people are going to question why you would want to put a vdrive into a tiny little seadoo...but if your serious...dont let us stop you.

Your reply above makes me think you have never run a jetski. A properly setup seadoo will hit top speed in a matter of seconds. Your XP will hit 55 in like 2-3 seconds. It will hop right out of the water too. That all depends on the condition of the pump and prop.

If there is anything else I can help with just let me know.

MinneTonka4me.
yep it is my first one.so i raced drag boats for a bit nothin better than being pined in ur seat.as for the vdrive thing.the difference is nite and day when u compaire jet versious vdrive .hay sorry about my bad spelling.

coastiejoe.ya if that steering extention is what i think it is u might just get an extra 5 10 mph out of it.i put a jetavator and a shouvel grade on an old jet boat i had and got 10 mph out of it. ok have fun with it and how u like my spelling.
