Using Hi Temp grease instead of marine grease

Is there a reason why hi-temp (the red stuff) couldn't be used to grease ski PTO's instead of using marine grease?

It will work fine, but generally, it's not water proof. BUT... at the PTO... it really doesn't need to be water proof.

the way i ride, EVERYTHING needs to waterproof.... even the video camera!

Does it hurt anything to mix grease types? i.e I don't always remember what I used last on what
I decided last week I need to start keeping a maintenance journal. 2 jetskis, 1 boat, 1 truck, 2 SUV's, 1 car, 2 trailers, 2 lawn tractors I can't keep track of when I lubed, changed oil, filters, plugs, batteries, brakes, etc and what I used...

I pretty much use SuperTech (Walmart) marine, waterproof grease on everything, SeaDoo, Trailer, Lawn Tractor, also works great as a personal lubricant.

I've been using "Green Grease" for the last year or so. I use it on everything.

Thanks for the help, I saw the green grease at the parts store yesterday, I think I'm going to just start using it on everything.
