USED SEA DOO 951 DI MPEM CDI MODULE OEM# 278-001-747 WITH PROGRAMMED LANYARD KEY.

Taken out of a 2002 GTX DI Sea-Doo, MPEM Module worked perfectly when removed from the Sea-Doo.

$300.00

According to the shop, I need a MPEM for 2001 GTX. I've only had this boat about a month, hope you can help. I believe the 2001's and 2002's have same MPEM part numbers, can you confirm?

Clarification - It is the ECU only

This is a very good deal for someone, they sell on ebay for $450-$600 used!

Okay, the shop clarification is that it is the ECU only, not the MPEM.
No usable fault codes. They confirmed the issue through throwing parts in and swapping out at a labor cost of $300. ..jeez.

I'm going to pull the boat back and take a shot at a DIY fix in the garage w/ take-off parts. As I understand it, the ECU is plug-n'-play so I would not need to mess w/ any DESS re-programming to the MPEM if I picked up a used ECU. Need a reality check on this from those in the know...

On the ECU compatibility front, this is an 2001 GTX RFI. Are DI and RFI ECU's interchangeable? Anyone know what year models span 2001 ECU compatibility?

Thanks.

On this model there are different moduals, and if you put a used mpem in there with key that comes with it you can use it just fine however your hours from the new mpem will be on the ski on the hours that are actually on your ski, if you wish to have the correct hours displayed then you need the new mpem programmed with your current ski hours in most cases.

Sorry I thought yours was an di as well I see now it is an rfi

The answer is no, the di listed is not correct for your rfi..... You will need to first confirm which modual they are stating is bad, some may blandly explain its the ecu or the mpem or modual......ask them for the part number of the part......

I have not got the boat back out of the shop yet to match the part numbers, do you know if the DI and RFI MPEM/ECU's are compatible? Do you take paypal?

Thanks.
