Unknown , unconnected hose on my 2015 GTI 130

I have this hose that starts connected to a button like thing in the front right corner of the boat . The hose then drops straight down to a point between the battery and the gas tank where its just dangling and not connected to anything . Is this normal? What is it ?

Do you have an AGM battery? If so it is probably the battery overflow tube and is not needed.

My guess is the battery vent tube. If you have a vented battery, you need it. If gel cel, then, then you would not need it..

without seeing a pic hard to know but I'm betting battery vent tube as well.
