This is the end-all of Sub Moves. It took us over an hour to actually drain it, as the bilge pump needed to be cleaned off. Once on the trailer, we got both plugs out and draining properly.

That was INSANE!!... I know I would have been like "Man that was awesome" then total panic would set in and I would pray nothing was totally screwed up lol.

Whiskey, that was exactly it. Not in any particular order: Holy crap, that was amazing. Did anyone fall out? Someone grab the beer! Kill the engine, no gun the engine to drain! Kill the stereo before the amp gets wet! Is the bilge working?

It took some time to drain as I figured out the bilge pump had not really been used and was covered with gook. Glad we did it in front of the dock as we pulled up to the dock and made sure all was good before buzzing to the trailer for draining.

I don't think we will pull that big of one again in a while.

That's the SeaDoo factory tower that comes on the X-20/Challenger X models. I do believe you can use a bimini, I have seen them installed, but have not tried it. We are probably going to look into one of the flat "flying" bimini's. We have not had much desire for one yet.

The sub moves always look like a blast. Id love to do it but I got way too much money wrapped up in this boat to mess it up.

Honestly, this one was way more than I had ever expected. But you can really control the amount of bow-dip you get with some practice.

This one was followed by an engine kill, and stereo cutoff switch. All electronics are mounted high, especially the Alpine Marine Amp. Everything is rocking on day 5 of our week vacation.

Give it a shot with light reverse to feel how much the bow will dip, then work from there. Just remember to adjust for weight in the bow.

Have fun!!

Neat trick but pretty stupid IMHO.
Only one was wearing a ski jacket, subbing a $25k boat is not my idea of fun.....

I agree with Rfoster on this one.

That is ******* awesome!!! I've never tried it with ppl in bow but looks like it helps!!! Nothing like turning your boat into a swimming pool in the middle of the lake!! Me likes  Does your boat have the deck drain tube? I hope so!!!

SeaDoo buddy, I understand your concern on jackets. Rfoster, i understand your concern on investment.

Like all seadoo boats of this hull, the deck is designed to drain once back up on plane. So the water is isolated to the floor unless you open the ski locker, or cannot get it back moving again. This one was bigger than anyone had expected. That being said, anyone that was not a capable swimmer, or was under age had jackets on. Everyone had a hold of an O'$hit bar and was prepared for the sub. Of course someone could have gotten tossed or knocked their head. Thanks, I will take your opinion with a grain of salt then.

My electronics/amp are mounted up under the pod storage, and my speakers are water resistant and/or on the towers. The Alpine Marine 6.5" are up high enough that they would not get hurt either, and can take a splash. DO NOT DO THIS if you have a sub near the floor. That's an obvious issue, or if you mount your amp in the ski locker. Since neither of those were an issue, this was a safe manuever in all aspects.

One further note, the engine compartment will not flood unless you drain the floor into the ski locker. And if you kill the engine, there is little to no chance of the water getting in the engine unless it reaches the airbox and the engine is running. Engine electronics should be kept dry at all times. Again, that's if the engine compartment gets any water at all anyway and reaches the top of the engine bay.

These moves are as safe as you make them, but doing them without your passengers knowledge is just plain stupid. This was our third of the afternoon. The first two just being small splashes.

I would say the extra weight in the bow may have made this one bigger than normal, but I am surprised at how easy it is to dip that bow on this long of a boat. You won't be seeing me post any more videos of one this big though. I agree that it was more than should be done. All is good to this day.
