Hey guys got a question, so how do you guys keep your jet ski clean (like engine compartment and hull)? Mine is spotless right now from the last owner and I wanna keep it that way.
purple power is my favorite... i put some in an old windex bottle, spray down anything that got grease grime on it, and the inside of the hull, then rinse off a minute later, good as new... I also use c-block (corrosion block) and hit all the electrical connections, bolt heads, etc etc after rinsing to help keep water/salt from getting back in there.
wally world $8.
$18ish at West Marine or on line
or you can use fluid film.
at john deer, but a tad pricier than c-block.
don't use wd40, imo it doesn't help much, but it IS better than nothing i spoze', and don't use silicone spray, again, it helps, but you get a lot of buildup with repeated use, and it rinses off too easily... with cblock and fluid film, its kind of spray on and forget about it, its good for several rides.
for the outside, honestly, its a seasonal wax, and a rinse/wipe down at the end of every ride , (ok ok, at the end of most rides) my primary hull cleaner is brake cleaner for grease.
for the "inside" of the engine, assuming you see salt/brackish now and then
