Ok, im not sure if this topic as been mentioned before,

Anyways, I go to Laughlin almost every year, and I always used to rent sea doos or jet skis, and almost always I felt I was getting taken for.

I remember one time this gentleman I rented a sea doo jetski in Kingsman Arizona stated I "ate" a stone on his impeller, and I swear it wasnt true. Anyways he wanted to charge my credit card $800 dollars, I was like "what?"..

And some other times I went to Laughlin and Catalina, so I think it was totally worth it buying a used boat and do what ever to it for like cheap and not having to worry about putting a large deposit down and someone charging my credit card a horrendous amount of money for some fix.. just my humble opinion...

cheap...did you ended up get'n charged the 800 buks...:ack:

Similar story, at laughlin, wifes' mom, rented a few, then when they "inspected" it, it was behind closed doors, just for them to show her there was rocks/sand in the pump assy, so it'll be 900 buks to replace....she got charged.

You know how cheap I am. so I said "oh m God, hold on, I have to go to the bathroom, ill be right back, called my credit card company on my cell, told them that my credit card had been stolen since the day before, came back and told the dude, "How much of that shit youve been smoking?", "I want some of that dude", lol, paid my balance in cash, and said "you guys are a disgrace, going around robbing people left and right, you should be ashamed of yourselfs".

Then it happened again at a another location, so next time I was "videotaping" my seadoos before I rented them, I learned my lesson, everytime I went to a company to rent a sea doo, i visually inspected everything and took pictures of everything "before" i took it out
sorry..... they were like tripping on me because I would take like a 100 pictures lol...

I'm just a toy freak. I buy and sell junk all the time. My all time shortest turn over was a '05 Yamaha FZ6. I bought it new, and traded it in 4 months later on my Buell.

Anyway... I've always owned watercraft, and haven't been without one since 1989.

When I was growing up, we would go out to Parker AZ, and there were a few JS's in the group... and I do recall one time that someone rented a sit-down. This was around 91... so I would imagine it was an XP.

I own Seadoo now because it's the flavor of the month, and that my long love affair with Yamaha has ended. (with the exception of my Superjet) It's hard to go back to a Kawi stand-up once you've riden an SuperJet.
