Starter button

i had a hole wear through the rubber on my button last weekend. the switch is toast i think, is there a way i could hotwire it so to speak till i get the new one in i ordered so i can get out this weekend?

Well i tested the starter button and it was good after all. My guages light up when i put the key on it but it does nothing when i hit the start button so what else can it be?

Check the Ground- wire connection to the starter area. It needs to have a good connection. Is the battery in good shape and fully charged? If not disconnect it from the seadoo and charge it up.

I had the same problem the other day. It was one of the wires going to the grey box in the front.

I found the 7.5 fuse in the back box by the battery was blown so i replaced it and still nothing i get no clicks or anything so could the relay be bad? And it is a new battery that has a good charge. the problem was a just happened occurance not something that came about over time

To eliminate the starter and starter relay from being bad, follow the Red+ wire from the battery to the electrical box. Using a insulated wire, jump across the relay solenoid. If the starter turns over, it has to be in the start/stop switch going to the starter relay.

Thanks for your help karl. I. JuMPed. The posts aNd the. Starter kicked on. So I replaced the switch and the 7.5 fuse poPs as sooN. As I put it. IN any ideas?

Ok so I did some tracing with the wires and here is what I found.
1 if I disconnect the starter button and put fuse in it pops
2 if I diss the top main plug on rear box and replace it stays good
3 jump posts starter works
4 lots of corrosion in rear box
5 fuse does pop as soon as I put it in no key or button pressing required
I just dot want to buy a relay tomorrow if its not it so does anyone have any direction?
And when they say jump the posts it is the two that the red main wires are on right?
