I thought I would start a thread about how the new season is going.

I went to the lake for the first time this year, and thanks to the help of a lot of good people on the forum. I don't like to brag, (maybe just a little), my ski ran great.

I added a R&D Aquavane intake grate this winter, no higher top end, but the ski turns much quicker, almost too quick, (did a 360 without trying), but I'll get use to it, also seems to be quicker out of the hole.

How is everyone else doing?

Lou

its still a bit cold here. the water coming out of the mountains is really cold all year long, but i just got a deal on two more ski's and i'm working on them and de-winterrizing my ranger and gts.

Too cold for me to go out yet but I pulled out the trailer today to start waxin! I'm gettin ready to pull the carbs and clean them out. I've still got about a month so you're lucky I wish I could of been out there with ya!

I'm going to replace the lines on my oil injection tomorrow and then I will be ready to fire it up. Still need to switch all my registration over from MO to IL. I would imagine the water is still a little chilly here though.

Honestly it's probably too cold here. It was in the 80's today, I've got a riding jacket and couldn't wait any longer. I left the ski at the lake, going back tomorrow, only about 30min. drive.

Let me know how cold the water is! Your temps have probably been similar to ours. It was around 90 today.

LOL yeah my feet barely got wet and were cold for an hour. The sail club guys were breaking up ice with their chase boat and had dry suits on...LOL

I plan on going out for the first time next Thursday, I got the skis out last weekend and started them up for the first time, put new hydroturf on the xp and new numbers as well cant waite to get out there its been a long winter.

Ive been waiting still to get the boat ready. I plan on working in it this week. Hope to get out in the next few weeks. I dont know how it is in Lexington Lou but 80 miles north of ya they are saying it will hit 84 today...Crazy weather around here.

Just got back from the Lake, 87 degrees, great weekend.

I did have just one problem, when I loaded the ski today one of the bunks on the trailer was pretty bowed, I need to replace both bunks. Does anyone know where I can get stainless steel staples? Thanks

Lou

Took mine out for the first time today; bought them in January and have been piddling with them off & on since. The lake is 3'-4' low and the winds have been relentless for the last couple weeks but today, I couldn't take it any more. I convinced the misses (who's never ridden a ski) to go up and launch them at the marina where our boat is. Everything went off without a hitch and the freakin' GTX Ltd (that she has already claimed) kicked the s**t out of the GTI...
