Have some splintering and chipping in the inside body compartment fiberglass of me pwc. Is to a defect? Only have 10 hr on boat.

Hi i have same problem with my seadoo and wanted to ask what was done about ur problem and how they fixed it or if they gave you new ski

I would have to think that it has to do with flexing.

That said, I have owned SEVERAL machines from 3 big manufacturers and I have never had splintering..

I would be contacting the dealer. Especially since there are two of you posting this issue...

Can you post photos of the problem.
This would be much more clear as to what you are talking about.

I have seen Hulls with some really rough places inside as they are built in a mold and the top layer is not always laid down real smooth.

It does not look to be splintering to me. It just wasn't filled, smoothed, and sanded. The only thing I would do is, paint over the areas just incase they were no coated well with the paint.

I know it's a 2015, but I think the dealer will see nothing wrong with it.

Let's see what others have to say.

My only concern is its very brittle and being under engine mount could it be unsafe and also geting wet wouldnt u think over time it would only get worse

It all looks normal to me. The inside of these hulls can look like that. Nothing wrong I could see.

Looks normal to me as well. I have seen a lot look better than that but have seen many just like yours. I would say its 100% fine!!

Just wait till you try working inside hull. Guarantee you will have many fiberglass splinters on arms and hands. Yamaha certainly finishes inside of hulls so you don't experience this .
