SO..I ordered the wrong color seat. I'm gonna embrace it.

Well, My old seat was pretty tattered and faded, the handlebar color cleaned up a little on the teal side. The front hood came back a bit greener with the heat gun trick and I had already ordered the seat cover in teal.

So, half out of laziness, I decided to just put the teal seat cover on and embrace it. You may notice I went back with the original green seat strap....you know to tie it all together...give it that "two tone" look.

Hey! I've seen worse, and at least now it will weigh 40 pounds less in the water with something covering the sponge that had become my seat.

Another Thank You to the forum. This was the last thing the ski HAD to have to feel like it was back in shape after a seven year dry spell. Just thought I'd post the pics so that those that helped me can see the results....even if the colors are a mess.

Nice ski! I would have went with it too, still looks good, and no one will notice when your skipping across the water at 50+ even if it didn't. From the pictures it looks like it matches some of the color in your graphics, at least it isn't..pink or something lol.

Thanks, Yeah...I figure I've seen worse. And yes, my numbers and some of the original graphics run towards Teal so I suppose it works out OK. Seriously, the ski will weigh at least 40 pounds less in the water now. That's a mighty big sponge they put on that seat.

do you know what the proper color is for these 1996 spx's
the "teal" seams to have more blue than green, i think teal is for the earlier models

if anyone knows the right name or code for the green seats for 1996 spx please let me know

i need a new cover and dont want to get a blue-ish teal that wont match the green ski

after i cover it, i'd like to stencil in "seadoo" on the seat
does anyone know if this was offered new in 1996?
i cant find any pics with the lettering for marine green seat
was the lettering in black or white?

Looks great to me, however may wife says that most men, including myself are color blind. Just don't mix plaids and stripes, or something like that!
