I noticed when you put the gear handle (F,N,R handle) when I put it in forward it locks the left motor's handle that controls the speed to lock. If I try to put it into forward gear while the left motors control handle is in forward it will not let me take it out of neutral. But the right motor's control handle will move no matter what. This all happened while the motors were off. Any suggestions? I know I didn't use advanced terms but I don't know what they are called. I just bought it. Thanks for the help.

You will need to lift the handles out, and check the locks. Sounds like something mechanical broke.

There are a few balls and pins in there... it sounds like one of them has gotten stuck in the locked position. it may be as simple as greasing the unit. take it apart and remember how it comes apart as there are a few different sized ones in there.

Check to see if the left throttle will work when you put the right throttle forward a bit. Both throttles need to be at idle to shift to Forward or Reverse.
