It was around 80 in Hotlanta GA and I didn't miss my chance and hit the lake with kids... Oh we even jumped in the water .... After leaving 10 years in Chicago and Jumping in water around OCT... OMG....I'm lovin' every minute...

Doc I do not recognize the brand of extended trim tabs on the back of your 96XP. Do you know they are called?

Yep... they are called.... 3/16" aluminum plate. (lol) Then, I shimmed them with 1/8" strips. I can hold it wide open, and it rides flat. !!

Last summer, I asked if there was any interest in doing a production run... and I got mixed feedback... so nothing was ever made.

Sgoyal,,,

I am seriously considering moving to Atlanta. I want to be able to ride more than 3 or 4 months,,,

Well doc its a sad day for me also now its time to put up for winter. I was able to ride a kaw 750 stand up and loved it so looks like my seearch starts for one. Off subject how much are lift tickets in PA I went to snowshoe in WV last year but tickets are close to $80 i believe but living in indiana I pay $45 for small hills lol

I'm trying to finish my XP to get it in the water this season. I live outside Philly, we went to Ocean City on Friday for an overnighter, went to the beach yesterday,it was cool and windy, ocean temp was still 67 degrees. The kids were in the ocean on the boogie boards and I got some sunburn. If it wasn't windy I would have been in the water for sure. Living in S.E. PA I know all too well about no snow and snowmobiles, that's why you don't blow 12g's on new ones unless your committed to drive to Canada. I park my vintage stuff for years and when we finally get hit, I'm ready to rock. And for the small snow falls, that's what Trikes and quads are for. I make the most out of the seasons. If we ever moved it would be tough for me to part with my seasonal toys.

Sad day for me:( winterized my seadoo today and it was a rough season. Did not get out much. Maybe six rides:( until next year... Here comes winter

Mine got out today. Cold weekend. But a bad start to winterizing. My rubber boots were to short to get to the end of the ramp. Took forever to find the hip waiters. Then pull the cover to start it, nothing. The battery was dead. Charged it up, pushed myself out to take it to the Marina and still wouldn't start.

Back to the dock, put the charger on it again it is reading only 40%, so charge it again and in the mean time pull three plugs and spray some fogging oil into each head. Finally she fired up.

The problem with not running it for over a month I guess.

She ran great, highest rpms all season lol. Figure the cold water makes it run better.

None the less had some great rides and gear help from this forum again. Till next season!

On the other hand, Here Down under Summer is here:) well mostly..., HEHE :D Can't wait for jet-sking as much as possible:)

Yep... you boys down in Oz have opposite weather.

It's funny... every year... the board starts to get quiet for the rest of the world... but Oz comes to life.

I made the mistake of buying a brand new 01 Polaris XC 700 back in 01- used it one year, sat the entire next year and then sold the following year for $3500.. Never bought new again! Same can really be said for any seasonal toys up that way :(. To be honest though, even in FL we bought our skis old and cheap. Mainly because we weren't sure what kind of time we'd have to use them and my wife had never ridden one before and was unsure if she'd like it. Besides, apparently even new stuff can be a headache- we bought our 08 Speedster 150 new, it only had a one year warranty. Now it has ONLY 45 hours on it and has already had it's fair share of mechanical issues. The motor is currently out of it due to the SC eating itself up and sending shrapnel through the entire motor.. $18,500 for something that is no more reliable than any used boat I have seen :(.

Oh well, rant off lol..

Kwiktsi, Don't you know that a woman is never more beautiful than when she's pregnant. Of course this is a myth most likely started by women.

LOL! I'll be honest, the "glow" she has is beautiful, the attitude isn't lol.

Ok, back to the thread of winter layups ...
Do you realize the weather forcasters out here actually have the gonads to predict some rain over the next few days!!??
Do you understand the hardship it is to go out and cover up the skis I have been working on under shade covering with waterproof tarps?
And then to remove the tarps when the sun comes out again?
