I keep mine on a float with no room to reach around the back and to the front to get to the quick disconnect on the transom hull
1. would it be ok to install and leave in 6inch pve pipe(extender) and attach the quick disconnet there so I could lay on the seat and reach down that way?

seems like a bad set up --

any thoughts or suggestions?

also what does that hose do -- It cant be an intake hose on its own since it would be out of the water underway

and how could it be an exhaust hose if I am sending the hose water in

thanks

flushing

Hi CAT-MAN,
The flush fitting in the rear of the ski is the exhaust system cooling water outlet when the ski is in the water. When you are flushing the ski using the flush fitting in the rear you are running the water backwards thru the system therefore "back-flushing" the exhaust system.

Looks to me like the pvc pipe would have to be rather long for you to get to, my only fear would be that it would break off... Then removing the rest of it might be a pain!!!

agree....

:agree: with Mirage on this one. If the quick connect flush kit was meant to be left on, it would be recommended. I think, if you look at the ski sitting idle in the water, you'll have the turbulence around it, when you first hit WOT. It may not be enough turbulence to break it off, but there may be a chance from vibration.

If your on a float, you may look to see if there is a way you can lift the seat, identify the hose going to the rear for your open loop, cooling water outlet and put a radiator flush connection "T" inline. That way, you could open the seat to get to it, rather then go to the rear. When not in use, it would be capped, like in the car.

I've put in a few of these type connections to skis that didn't have a back flush connector. So far, so good........

Catman, would you update your profile to include what year RXP you have.

thankd for the comback guys but
how could u back flush with the engin running (running it would force the water out and block the garden hose water)
instead of the pvc I am going to try - to screw in a semi firm rubber hose-- run it back 7 inches -- mount the quick disconect- and strap it up to thr rub rail so it it flush with the rear of the ski and wont be bouncing around

what do u think and dont hold back
