A quick brief...I have a 2013 rxt bought new last year. I guess to start from the beginning I had 22 hrs on it last year and it started to loose speed it ran about 55 from the normal 68-70 I took it back to dealer as its under warranty they said plugs were bad replaced them and everything was fine it had a hint of hesitation again around the end of summer but couldn't replicate it often it was very random I had them look into it they never could find anything they winterized it and started it this summer. When I picked it up this year they told me it sounded a little funny once or twice but they couldn't replicate the problem again and that it is probably the gas going bad and it probably burnt off then and it should burn fine just do it quick. So I went out that weekend it ran fine no problems at all the following weekend it had a little hesitation as it did last year I came back to shore looked everything over tried again and it was fine never hesitated again that day or the next. 3 weeks pass and I ride again and I can't get over 40 w random burst to 45 (4950rpm w burst 5250rpm) I changed plugs/siphoned the gas tank refilled it/ check injectors appear to be doing fine they do spray 2-3-1(that's the plug number) ran seafoam thru it and 3/4 tank gas check bolts around the cone (3/4 of a turn all I could do) and tightened my steering which was extremely loose nothing changed even slowed as I rode. Any advice would be appreciated thanks

"Update" the dealer finally replaced coils as I believed that was the cause amazingly enough it ran perfect. Don't get to excited because it was only for the first ride or two ran strong 71mph 8050rpm then the problem slowly came back I'm not sure exactly what they do bc it seems everytime they touch it it runs great for the first couple rides idk if they spray something in the engine to help it like some kind of fogging oil or what and when it wears off same problem occurs this past time they had it they finally went out and rode it supposedly and said it ran fine but gave me another coil to try if it happens I could unplug the coils and see which has no change I had a hard time believing that bc it only happens at high Rpms but tried anyway they all made a change so I swapped each one out one at a time running each way w no change then replaced all spark plugs w no change i had them check the super charger last time also they said works perfectly fine... This time I kept pressing them on what they spray or do to the ski to make it run so good and then have same problem they say they don't so anything I started to think it maybe the computer they hook to it resets everythingand it's electrical problem I have been saying since the beginning but everything checks out fine Short story they didn't do anything this time and had no temporary change either I'm at wits end ready to just give up and dump this thing it is a RXT 260 any suggestions will help thanks

Assuming you are dealing with an official Sea Doo dealer, I would pick up the phone and call Sea Doo. I would also bring it to another dealer.

I bought from an official dealer and they are the ones who have been working on it I have planned to call seadoo this morning to see what they say I have tried to give the dealer a shot but obviously they can't figure it out also I have heard from a few different people who ride w me that the other "seadoo" dealer around my area won't work on it if u didn't buy from them I also plan to call them I just don't want to have to pay them hundreds of dollars to do and say the samething the other dealer has done bc I feel this should definitely be covered under warranty idk if they will recognize the warranty???

The slow speed numbers are exactly like the intercooler isn't doing its job or the hoses are not connected. Or, the Super Charger (SC) isn't working.

But, for it to run well and then not is more of a computer fed item such as an injector/electrical issue.

Hard to fix when you can't find the issue.

That is kind of what I was thinking electrical/ computer problem but idk if they will swap out my computer or not I plan to ask I keep hearing from people and reading it makes me point toward the intercooler/ supercharger I did have them check the sc last time I had it in and it checked out to be fine but for it to run great one day then not the next makes me think electrical but can't figure out where to even start I tried unplugging the battery no luck and further more almost everytime I had it in except the last they hooked to computer and it ran great that same day or the next but almost without fail it had the problem reoccur the the following times I rode it's like hooking the computer resets everything next time I'm in I'm going to have them only reset everything and then I figured I'd try to run see if any change also I will be checking ic tomorrow if I can figure it out everything I see on other threads it appears they all show how to do it w the ic out of the ski but I see where people say check it on a hose just have to figure out how haha.. Fairly new to this game and sucks that I got a lemon right away lol...

Edit.. Also I have had this problem clear up a time or two while I was riding I turned it off and on and it cleared up a little at a time after doing that 2 or 3 times it ran great that day.. I have tried this numerous times since w no luck

im with Joe on this. just ask them to swap computer for a test drive couple days, itll only save them time and money.
talk to a manager and tell him to hold on to the old computer, just in case its not the problem.
if a computer is not the issue, supercharge/intercooler for sure.

Update I checked ic today seems fine no water spraying out and air flow seemed good waiting for Tuesday to take back to dealer going to try the comp switch out

Glad all worked out. Why is this on a boat tread? Wake up moderator.
