Riva Stage 2 kit - Any problems that should be looked at??

I was looking around for a used PWC and the dealership that sold me the boat has a 2001 Yamaha GP1200R for sale.. They are asking 3900 for it.. They say it has 209 hours on it but the guy that traded it in had the Riva Stage 2 kit installed on it.. I did a quick check and it looks like its valued at around 2k... NADA has the value of the PWC at 3600-4000 so it looks like they arnt upping the price based on the riva kit.. The sales guy said that obviously it wont come with a warranty but that their service guys checked it out and it was okk.. just wondering fi you guys think its worth taking the chance and grabbing it or if i will run into more headaches being that it was modified.. I just dont want to have to dump money into something after spending 4k...

Performance mods typically don't add much resell value to anything.

Usually Riva stage 2 doesn't go so deep into the engine that you'll worry about having problems. Will they guarantee the PWC at all? Rembmer, it is about 10 years old so stage 2 or not, reliability is certainly going to come into question.
