How do you replace the start button on a 2011 Seadoo RXT IS 260? The button itself is good but the rubber cap is torn: looks like someone pressed too hard with their fingernail.

I'm not sure if it's the same as a two stroke, if it is: Just pull out the old start button cover, and install a new one using a small blunt screwdriver.

I believe they are different, I sell about 150 start buttons (277000306) every year and according to my list it is only good up until 2000 models.

different # for 4 strokes 277001802, not sure of the difference.

very different, don't try to dig it out from the front like the old style. remove a single screw on the bottom side of the front housing, remove housing cover, take button cover out from the back, replace. takes 2 minutes.

We touched on this last year as well...

It was determined that it needed to be removed from the backside.
