Replacing 2011 head on a 2004 4-tech (solid valves)

I picked up a newer head and it has a different type of venting system parts 20-26. Do I just remove and replace with what i have originally or I am sure this is a better system and can it be used with the hose that currently goes to the valve cover.

These boats are new to me too, I hope someone responds. If not you will have to test it and let us now. It is the positive crankcase ventilation system, all it does is let the engine "breathe" it's own oil vapors back in. Good luck to you
 
You can't just switch the head and vent system. It won't work. The newer vent system requires a hole above the CB in the pto housing to equalize pressure. The electronics and ECU will have to be changed to use the newer style vent. There also is an oil jet in the older blocks that will have to be removed or you will starve your head for oil and it will seize.

"Just trying it" is a quick way to do a lot of damage.
