Remove trim cable. How?

I need to replace the trim cable. This one has a broken end at the pump. I was able to mock up a nifty little mechanism that’s been serving me pretty well, but, I want this boat as mint as I can get it.

The problem is that the nut holding it in place inside the engine bay has no room for a wrench or slotted socket. It’s right up against the fiberglass. I have no way to remove this nut to free the cable.

Can someone offer a solution / proper tool to use that will fit in this confined space to remove the nut?

I worked it out. I need to slide a this housing socket down the cable and grip it with some channel locks. The clearance is just too tight. But the cable is replaced now.

There s a tool called a crows foot, something like that, the mini wrench is 90 degrees to the 3/8 inch ratchet extension, They usually come in sets, but I am sure you will get more replies and ideas on here from the boat crew.
