Remove canopy shock absorber

Does anyone know how to remove the shock that is on the front cover? I have a 2013 GTX 155 (the white and gold and black one)

Does anyone know how to remove the shock that is on the front cover? I have a 2013 GTX 155 (the white and gold and black one)

I did that on my ski, but it is a GTX 04 SC. I don´t know if it is the same than yours, but it was not a big deal.

I just removed a cover (hatch) to gain access to there, cut the zip ties which were fixing the gauge wires, and using a screw driver just gently forced the shock to "unclip" its own lock on up and down.
