Hey Guys,

I'm in the process of assembling a 4tec, this engine had a timing chain failure at 46 hrs and bent some exhaust valves.

While reading on the head dissassembly I keep reading about the MUST USE NEW stretch bolts. I'm not ready to assemble the head yet (just waiting on valves), but I am assembling the Flywheel components. And I'm seeing the USE NEW BOLTS on flywheel.

I've got all new bolts for head etc. Would I be okay with reusing the bolts on the flywheel? They certainly appear to be brand new as this is a low hour ski.

I'd personally replace them though I've seen them reused before. VW has the same spec's on their flywheels. I also never use stretch bolts since I'm taking things apart all the time for testing. I order all my head bolts through ARP which are stronger and can be reused saving me $$ in the long run.

With only 46 hrs on the ski, i would call Seadoo and complain. Maybe out of good will they will replace the TC.........

Only kidding, i know the history
