Rxt valve train question/opinion

So I recently bought two “blown up” 2005 rxt 215 for 500$ bucks, with a double trailer. I pulled both the engines and the flywheel bolts have backed out of both and the bolts had wedged themselves in there preventing it from turning over. Of course there’s metal shavings everywhere.

im thinking I’m going to disassemble the engines, see what if anything is damaged. Probably go ahead and do all new bearings and rings, new flywheel and stator and make sure everything is cleaned out good.

i have read about these having issues with the exhaust valves so was wanting to go ahead and replace them. The place I work is a sbt dealer and From sbt can get 6 exhaust valves for 267$, full head rebuild for 359$ or a full dressed head exchange for 399$. With those prices it would almost be a no brainer to just get a new head with new cam and all. But not sure on if the sbt stuff would be worth using.

so my question is would it be worth getting 2 sbt heads for 399 apiece or what are the other options to get away from these stock exhaust valves

I've had very good luck with sbt valves. I normally just replace all the valves in the stock heads and they run perfectly for a very long time. Have your local machine shop lap them in and vacuum test the head which they will do cheaply.
