Reading Key 1 beep every few seconds 2011 GTI 155

Took the battery out in the fall, kept a charge on it.

Wanted to get the PWC ready for spring, the weather is suppose to be nice next week.

Installed the battery, hit the start button, got my Display booting up, put the key in and all i'm getting is a scrolling message

"Reading Key".

Hopefully its something simple, I had my Ski in the shop all of last summer waiting on parts to replace my timing chain. I don't want to miss another season.

Please advise.

DESS post faulty I had the same on my ski 2011 wake pro got it replaced under warranty all good

Ha, You and me both. My dealer let me take the ski until they chain came in after it sat down there for 2 months. Gave me a piece of paper that said sea-doo would cover the ski/towing/any damage if the chain shot off while riding. Kinda bummed i only had 2 months of riding but hopefully this year will be a full season

I had the same issue on my 2011 GTI130. i didnt buy the extended warranty so when it happened i was SOL. the dealer wanted 270 to fix it, i found the dess part online and bought it for 79 and had it replaced in about an hour IIRC. its a simple swap if your mechanically inclined!

First let me says thanks for the responses.....
Wanted to give you a update ....
Took the key off and looked at it closely, while stored away in the compartment it had become distorted and all 3 contacts was not making contact with the post, just needed to squezze it back into shape....All is well
