Rave valve settings

hey guys just a quick question. where is the best place to set the red caps on the rave valves? all the way out all the way in or somewhere in the middle?

It's really a matter of personal preference, the factory setting is the red caps to be flush with the top of the black cap. I have mine set just one or two turns in from there, to just below the top of the black cap.

Lou, that is spec for the 787. the 951 is caps all the way IN. so this will depend on his engine, but yes, you can adjust from there to personal preference.

Yep, you're right, I saw the red caps, and just assumed it was a 787, but assume makes and ass out of u and me.

I used a wire wheel to scrape all the paint off the metal parts of my RAVEs, I think it looks cool as bare aluminum.

whoops sorry guys i should have been more specific, its a 787 motor. i will update my profile now.

no specifications to be set at just preferance...take it out and do a wide open run from idle and see what rpm's you get with them set flush then try a few diferent settings and choose what you like best
