Rave valve - re assembley

I made the foolish mistake of getting distracted while removing the Rave Valve parts on my 98 GTX Limited.

There is a "spacer O ring" that is positioned between the spring under the cap and the O ring on top of the valve - one side is "flat" and the other is "concave".

Does the concave part face away from the manifold, up towards the cap, or should the spring rest on the flat side ?

Thank you for the help !

Thank you. I did see that web site. Unfortunatly the year pictured has the "spacer" built in to the 5 mm cover unlike the later design in 1998 and later. I appreciate your help !

Must be why I am not sure what your talkin about, cause Ive never seen them before. My sled is a 1999 but it looked the same as my 97. Maybe I never looked close enough. Id go look but its not stored at my house. Do you have a manual? I wonder if theres a break down in there.

should go rave, gasket o-ring,housing, rubber boot, spring, cap.... the larger more pitched cut side of the valve goes toward the same side of the housing that has a notch in it... maybe this helps? did you take them both out at the same time... you could always pull the other and take a look!!!

Thanks daverade, the position of the valve itself is not in question. On a 98 GTX Limited there is a slightly different design that includes a spacer O ring ( also called a support ring - Seedoo part # 420926220) that a spring sits atop of the valve inside of the bellow and below the bellow's cap. This spacer is flat on one side and concave on the other. Does this spacer face towards the valve or away from it ?

As I mentioned had I paid proper attention while pulling both out I would know... but I am an A. H. and did not on either one of those parts as I did not realize they were different until I had them both out and cleaned.

Heads or tails - I guess :)
Thank you .

oooooohhhhhhhh i see... i think you have the bigger motor..951? i have 97 GTX's... UN-limited so they are gonna be a lil different.... you need to look on seadoopartshouse.com and see the diagram maybe that will help ypu out... or wait till later maybe snipe, seadooya, bill, or one of these guys will chime in... they would know the answer to your question... sorry homie

Yes - I have bought parts there before. In their diagram it is part number 10 in section 01 . SKU: 290926220 Support Ring - in the picture it does not indicate which way is which - the diagram is 2 D and you are correct I am a homie today for sure !!
:hurray:

Yes this is a "bump" I really need some help to know which way is up ? ( I mean for the spacer :) )

What an idiot I am.

I am sure there are some Rave Valve experts out there who can help me with this mysterious secret . I want to get back out on the water and join you please

Thanks Again . DF
