pre-mix or not

HI there,recently bought a 97 challenger 1800 runs like a dream. The only thing is its been converted to a pre-mix system why i dont know.I dont mind this because iam used to mixing because of all the years riding two stroke motorbikes.The question is should i change it back or leave it as is,i know that if there is a problem with the oil system your engines are toast!Any advice would be great.

You Can leave it as premix if you want, but you have to make sure that the injector tank is in place as it feeds the Rotary gear shaft.It gets it lubrication from the same injector tank. If the tank is gone see how it is getting it's lubrication. Also the Rotax engines use very little injector as they have a variable rate injector system. If you premix it uses more oil than injector.
