please help

Just replaced shifted.lever. When boat is N and R throttle lever can be moved. But will not move in F. Looks like lever is not seating all the way forward. Any ideas? Launched boat but throttle would not move when in F. 99 speedster sk

Nevermind, the replacement bolt was 3/4 which was getting hung up on the underneath of the lever. Simple fix, just turn the bolt around! LoL

So is this lever moving freely? Just operator error forcing it to break the first time?

not operator error the first time sorto....themechanic took it out after a inspection. He says out ran fine but when we got it home I noticed the shifter wire was hanging out. You could actually see three wire itself

Oops...sorry.
Anyways you could see the wire going into the transom. bring first boat I knew no better and took his word. Went to launch and of course the shifter lever would not move. I forced to much and pop. They are actually a type of pot metal. Ordered a new one, dropped a few bolts down in the hull and fixed. So yea I guess it was operator error...lol Burt seriously thank you to everyone on this site! This is our first boat and bring able to ask takes some stress away!

Just the lever...it moves smoothly through F N R....
