Stopped at my dealership the other day and happened to stumble past this buy.... 2 2004 four stroker seadoos with a trailor for 900 bucks. both run fine in the tank and have good compression but still gonna wait till i can wATER test to decide but there is still ice on the lake now and will be for a while so i cant test anytime soon but i think its a pretty good buy no matter what even if they need a little work. reason for getting so cheap is the previous owner traded them in and ordered h2 brand new ones and all the trade in value is up here at this time is 300 a piece plus some for the trailor so i think i got a pretty good buy good thing i went and looked huh .....!!!!!!!! WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK :cool:

you might as well have stolen them for that price !
great buy !
i would have bought both, and wandered around the lot looking for more, then tip the sales manager $50 and let him know i'm a buyer on anything else he gets in :)

Brock - Nice to see you around again. Have you moved yet?

How are you and your dad doing since the surgery?

I'm calling the cops since you stole it from the dealer.

It sounds like a scam to me...a stealership selling machines that cheap makes no sense. I'd be lucky to find one for $900 broken I could part out! Chit I can get $900 for a double trailer around here!!

Just buy them...someone will swoop on them if you dont. Doesnt matter how they run. If they are both junk Ill drive where ever you are and pay $1500.

I actually had a stealership moment over the weekend. A buddy set it all up...I knew we were headed to shop of some sort.

The 96 XP had stator problems and he had replaced the parts and put it all back together and told us it would barely pop with gas poured down the plugs. My buddy talked him down to $450 and decided to go get it. It was really clean in the pictures.

The GPS gets us there and I realize its a Ski-doo dealer! I told my buddy this doesnt look good...how could a dealer not figure it out? The guy was late to meet us and it was sitting in the lot, so we got to look it over w/o the guy there.

We dropped a battery in, pulled the choke, and hit the starter. This thing had sat outside in 10 degree weather for at least a day and had not been messed with in over a month. 10 sec crank and BOOM fires right up, sounds good. We let it get a little warm and reved it a few times and it was fine. WTF? We looked it over and found some damage from a sponson ripping thru (minor) but otherwise it was in really good shape. Took the battery out and put away the tools and compression tester.

So the guy finally shows up and I start grilling him...he says the dealer had taken it in on trade last spring and he bought it and ran it all summer with no issues till aug. He also said they really didnt work on jetskis. They dug into it in Oct and replaced the stator, flywheel, pickup, and rectifier. I asked where the battery was if he had ran it all summer and he said he had tried to charge it the day before for us and it wouldnt take a charge anymore.

Next question....so this is the battery you were using when you did the repair? YEP!!! A freakin DEALER didnt even think that the battery maybe bad.

Got him to knock $25 off for the sponson damage and drove home with a pretty good deal.

yeah im takin them they both seem to run great its just the market here in michigan is terrible at this time of year and this guy that traded them has way to much money and dosent care how much he got for them on trade ..... this is the same place that i got my gsx from for 300 bucks so i guess i can say i have hookups there hahahahahahahahahaa i got a deposit on them so they aint goin nowhere ill let u guys know how they are when it warms up c ya

Hey Brock, good to hear from you. So are you going to the dark side (4-teks) or are you just buying to resell? Too good of a deal to pass up.

Lou
