Oil pump/gear failure

The Yamaha oil pressure experiment didn't work. I had to get my boat working first before I could try it. I had a bad TPS sensor. I rev'd the engine to 6k rpm and the sensor never went off. I'm back to square one. I'm going to try and find a sensor that works down to 1 or 2psi.

That's the problem. There really isn't any pressure after the pump, and into the vapor tank. SO... what you need is to do one of 2 things.....

1) You need the pressure switch mounted before the check valve in the exit of the pump. I will have to take a look at my pump, but it could be used, hooked to a banjo bolt.

2) You need a flow switch. So, as long as oil is pumping forward... it would keep the switch happy.

I was looking over the manual... and I can't tell if output banjo on the pump has a check valve in it, or not. If I get a chance over the weekend, I'll look at mine.
