Albeit I've read herein and other forums that it is highly recommended to change the oil filter every other year, however, I've yet to find a Thread pertaining to substituting the oil filter that SD peddles.

Now, given the fact that $11 bucks is not a lot of moola when considering the fact that owing a sea-craft can be expensive, however, in my opinion, if SD sells something, anything, they mark it up at least 100%, so, my question of the day is, "whether there a substitute for a SD oil filter?'

$20 ??????? I think the retail on them is $11.99, and they can be found as cheap as $6 or $7 for OEM filters.

I have a 2008 180 Challenger and my local SD dealer charged me $35 for an oil filter. And that was just for the part. Someone give me a part number or a place where I can get one (or equivelant) cheaper :bigear:

I think there is some confusion here. What we were originally talking about was the small inline filter for an oil injection system on a 2 stroke SeaDoo.
