I get no beep when I plug in the key. So far I checked and replaced the battery. Checked and cleaned all grounds, checked fuses, pulled apart and cleaned all connections on engine and the two going to the key switch and start button. What else can I check? I need help. The ski ran fine when last used 4 months ago.

sounds like you have a bad DESS post. To test, with the Lanyard off and using the Ohm Meter on the connector wires:

Blk wire to Blk/Yellow = Open Circuit
White/Gray wire to terminal on post = 0 Ohm
Blk to ring of post = close to 0 Ohm

Lanyard on...

Blk to Blk/Yellow = close to 0 Ohm

I'm going to guess, this is still an open circuit on yours which means you'll need a new post.

Just for chits & giggles, can you start the ski even when not hearing a beep-beep?

No, I get nothing when I push the start button.

Sounds like an electrical issue. check all your connections from the battery to the switches and all in the Eboxes too. Same thing happened to me....See my no power thread.
I found a loose connection in the front Ebox....wasn't rusted, just wasn't tight all the time

Ok,, lets check for good connections, battery and starter..

Jump the solenoid. If it cranks, the above items are good, if not,, then you have a bad wire, starter or battery.

Also, there are two smaller wires running to the solenoid. the NOT BLACK wire is your start wire. Push the start button and see what volts you get at the START wire.

Get this info and report back, we will go from there..

I tested the DESS and got an open circuit with the lanyard on so I got a new DESS. I haven't installed it yet. I'll post when I do. Thanks for the info.

Thanks Seadoobuddy. It worked. Installed the new DESS today and got the beeps back and it fired right up. Thank you very much.
