NEW xp-s 2 v.s. OLD xp-s 2

the previous owner was running the synthetic XP-S 2 (yellow bottle) it's about 43.00 a gallon... i recently saw some new synthetic XP-S 2 in a black bottle it's 31.00 a gallon, what is the difference or is there something better i could run... right now my tanks are dry all lines new and waiting to be bled, I guess if i'm gonna change over i need to do it now..... Anybody have any good input?

Double check what the bottles say. I think the yellow is full synthetic and the black is a mineral blended with synthetic. If it truly is xps 2, I think they can be combinded. Read the back of the bottles. It says right on there.

cool... thanks man... like i said i just purged the oil systems... i think i'll stick with full synthetic.... the boats are 97's and a little extra dollar for a lil extra TLC is worth it i think!!!!

here in CA, the white bottle is mineral, black bottle is synthetic. Wish i took a gander at a dealership over the weekend, while at river, if the price for synthetic is 31 buks...hell, mineral here is 40 buks..:ack:
