that is the one i tried for flush and running today on the garden hose.. It worked well it seemed, should I not use that? And yes I am missing the passanger windscreen. It blew off on the way home when I picked it up.. My fault I thought I latched it back...

I would block off the bottom one if your going to use the top one (make sure you take it off when done). I don't think you'll get enough water through cooling loop if you leave the bottom one open. Probably best to just use the bottom one and leave caps in on top one. Like foster I just use the top ones to pour in antifreeze in when winterizing.

Well here's what a set of them look like now! Srry the lighting wasnt so great...I should have some good pics out in the sun this weekend.(hopefully!)

Can you take a pic of the back? I wanna see how he handled the back since the original covers dont go all the way around.

Man, that sucks. Didn't matter if you latched it or not. It's a defect in the mounting. The chances of finding another are the same as playing powerball. Foster has been looking for an armrest forever. I'm gonna have to fab one for him.
If you can find One both sides are identical.
I have to disagree with Foster on the seats. I think they are to far gone to recover. The foam is missing in many places, and not sure if can be patched. Much less getting new material to stick to it.
Don't even think about trying to buff it out. It's far beyond that. To even get a average look to the finish you will HAVE to wet sand it.
Start with 1k grit, then 1200-1500, respectively , until all faded areas are gone, a unIform look is what you're looking for. Mine was bad when I got it, not NEAR as yours though. Then buff with compound, and then polish, then wax, wax, and wax.
I hate to be the negative guy, but, unless you can find a windshield, I don't think I would waste my time on restoring it,
Not trying to rain on your parade.
Any questions holla at me or RFoster..

It canbe buffed I think. The bottom is like dried slim. Were the bunks ride on the bottom they have polished a little out. I know it is a project but heck traded for it for dirt bikes I can not rude like I want to anymore due to my injury. And as for the seat a buddy of mine that builds custom cars said he can cut new foam. So might let him try one.

Yeah I can get whatever pics you need now that I have them out of the crates. I think I was Keiths guinnie pig for these type of seat. The closest seat to factory I could find before recovering them was john deere riding lawn mower seats lol... even found some aftermarket ones without the JD logo that would have worked in case mine were unrepairable. But all turned out well so I hope they last awhile!

Let me know if he can make them! wouldnt mind having a spare set of foams just incase.

If he can cut new foam, then awesome!!
You WILL not buff it out. Just do as I said and wet sand it. Far better results!!!...
You're still missing a windshield. ???

I thought of havin a print shop do up the logo on the new hides prior to having them recovered...but never got around to it.

You can still order the windshield new if you wanna spend $225. As far as the seats, i would contact Keith at Seadooupholstery.com He can work wonders. He has tutorials on how to fix missing foam. He makes it look easy. You can buy chunks of foam and cut them and glue them on. Then it can be reformed with a hot piece of metal. Once covered, you would never know.

I'm wondering why we cannot find these oem seats anywhere on the planet ..except this guys chair...really hard to find body parts as well. was it due to production #'s or brp didnt make any replacements? It would also be hard to believe they were all bought up by now. I'm sure the engineering dept knew they wouldnt last forever. They do have a responsibility to the consumer.

anyone found locks for the windshield yet that are reasonably priced? found like 4 but they want $115 ea. key is another $40

I have the same problems as you just got project 1800 no keys for shields and bad seats and have tried looking every where do you know if there are key numbers for the windshields or do you have to but the lock as well
Thanks

One way to get the nasties off the hull. I use "Zing" from Zing-ahead products. Use a spray plunger from another bottle and just spray it on then use a sponge or soft brush to wipe off after allowing a minute or two to soak.

Thanks I will try to find that and see how it works. Just looks like I will not get to put my boat in the water this year with my arm the way it is. The boat still needs some tweaking and I found a leak in the exhaust elbow on one side. I can not be working on it for now even though I could do it with one arm doc said no. Lol.

I agree with Phildoo on the buffing. Its not going to work. your going to need to sand it down with high grit. Compound and then seal it with a wax or a polymer.
