Just picked it up today 1500 but wouldn't start so I got it for 1200 got it going as soon as I got it home has a fresh rebuilt motor 2 hours on it someone painted the top black and put grip tape in the foot wells not cool need ton of love before summer but I should have it all pretty again in a couple months.

sweet steal mine was 1200 Canadian so about 800 usd terrible time to most likely need some parts from down south with the low dollar I put my first mod on last night had a new solas scoop grate hanging on the wall for a couple years finally found a home as far as the black top and grip tape I will remove the grip and spray it black again. I have enough blue marble turf left from my stand up to redo it so its going to be a yellow black and blue combo of some sort

I only bought mine because most people on here said how unstable they were so it sounded like fun.

making some progress got the carbs of cleaned them the rear carb filter was full 97%clogged I donated another pile of grey tempos to the dump it's runs and starts 100 times better I'm thinking I'll pull the pump and give it a overhaul tonight it looks real nice don't think I'll need to do much to it the more and more I get in to this thing the more I think it has low total hours the motor has never been painted the ebox is perfect getting exited to ride it

I am interested to see what you think of the HX, it has been on my wish list for years and i haven't ridden one either.

so I found some arosol paint remover impressed with how good it worked it took the paint off every thing great she is coming along good

Crazy... I literally used some aerosol paint remover too. I was just going to comment on your thread to use it when I read the original post. I used the permatex brand. It was amazing. I did mine right after work today.

The stuff i used I did not need to scrape but I think it would destroy the rub rails or anything rubber

One thing I found was missing was the brace plate for the carbs I had some heavy gage stainless at my shop so I made one So calling the hx guys I have a swirl big hub pump same pitch as the stock on should I use it both are mint

Got bars today 25 bucks new new grips 11 bucks painted the stem I used a brake lever from a old bike I had in like the 90s witch worked well I can set it so I can increase rpm a couple hundred rpm from the bars or go the other way and throttle stop it around 1000 rmp all rough estimate will see when it's on the water and I get it fine tuned . Also I carved the pad for the start button the small t circle is now the start button hid it nice and clean

I probably put more seat time on my HX than my X4, if that's any indicator. Scratch probably.
