Just picked up a 2009 SP on Sat. Have a few questions.
1. Can the boat be left in the water for the summer? I am located in Pgh., PA so not salt water.
2. How deep does the boat sit when not moving? I know draft is 12" when on plane.

Thanks.

Welcome... I'm in Da' Burgh too.

1) No. Seadoo boats don't do well when leaving them in the water. First... the drive shaft seal leaks by design, so you may find your boat sunk if you leave it too long in the water, and not running. Also, even though your new boat has a "Closed loop Cooling system"... the exhaust is still cooled with lake water. In PA... we have razor clams, and they like to grow in the cooling lines. They will eventually plug up the cooling.

2) It depends on how much weight is in it. Sorry I can't give you a real answer on that one.

Thanks Dr.Honda. Do you know of any marina with boat lifts? If I could not trailer it every time would be fantastic. I saw Wash. Landing has valet. Are you familiar with them and their service? I looked at some pics. and it seems as though the boat sits in about 2ft. Reason is that we have a camp in Venango on the Allegheny and it gets shallow, especially at my launch. I guess I'll find this one out soon enough.

Other than guest parking, and grabbing something to eat... I trailer all my stuff. I don't like the idea of leaving my toys with someone else. So... I don't know of what the different marinas offer. You will have to call around. Sorry.
