Okay so here's the story on these two. I picked him up about 7 or 8 years ago and I've been working to get them fully operational and back in the water.
The one on the left runs really strong. Both of them have brand new mikuni carbs with the accelerator pumps. New batteries. VTS works on both.
The one on the right was having trouble starting when it was warm so I decided to get a top end rebuild kit and put it in this spring. After I finished putting it in, while trying it for start up, for some reason it seized up. I had lubed the cylinders and was diagnosing why it wasn't starting when it happened. I assume it was because I ran the starter without the plugs in to see if air/fuel was coming out the plug holes and that ran it too fast without the resistance of compression.
At this point since I don't get them in the water much and my kids less interested, I'm done with them. They're located in Southeast Michigan. Have a trailer. Current registration stickers it still have to go on.
You'll get one that's ready to go in the water and runs really well and one that's going to need some looking into but will have a new top end once it's running.
For someone that's into these skis and willing to do work, I think this is a good deal.
Bring a car or a truck with a hitch and $3,500 and you can trailer them away.
